Heartless In Seattle

June 14, 2017

It’s been almost three years now since I first heard Lizz singing on KIXI Radio in Seattle.

She was singing “Reaching For The Moon”, an Ella Fitzgerald song.

I was captured by the first few notes she uttered so perfectly, so pristinely, so passionately, like a beautiful songbird:

🎶 “The moon and you appear to be 🎶 so near and yet so far from me 🎶….”.

That’s when she stole my heart.

That’s when I became “heartless”.   😊

“GOOD FORTUNE”

May 31, 2017

When you choose to be grateful, on a daily basis, it’s easy to see the good fortune that comes your way.

And even when things aren’t going great, you can still find the silver lining there.

Paying Tribute

April 27, 2017

This post is a follow-up to my previous post, “The Song-Whisperer”, a short post about Lizz Wright, the singer.

I’ve mentioned her on many occasions in many of my previous posts. She is my favorite singer ever and always will be.

I went to see and hear her at Jazz Alley on Tuesday night (April 25th) and I will be going tonight as well. Its the last night she will be in town for a while.

“The Song-Whisperer”

April 22, 2017

Lizz Wright  is coming to town!………….

…………..Wait for it!………..

Hey! Hey-ey, Hey-ey, Hey-yeh!!

That’s my happy sound 😀.

I adopted it from “The New Game“, a song Lizz wrote and included on her 5th CD, “Freedom and Surrender”, released in September, 2015. (If you click on the link you can hear the way she does it. It comes right after the first verse.)

That’s how she does it!

She’ll be here next week at Jazz Alley for three evenings on April 25, 26 and 27.

Mural by the entrance to Jazz Alley.

The last time she was here in Seattle was September, 2015, at Jazz Alley. I was there and I took this picture of her while she was singing. She always puts on such a good show. She’s so cool and refreshing to watch.

She is my favorite singer forever (times infinity to the 10th power). Now you’re saying to yourself, “What are you, 12?”. I know, right? But I can’t help it.
