“Wash Me Clean”

February 10, 2018

I’m still enjoying each and every song on Lizz Wright’s new CD, “GRACE”.

I listen to it when I’m playing basketball outside, when I’m getting a shower, when I’m woodworking or traveling, or when I breathe or when I blink. You get the idea, right?

So I was listening to “GRACE”, on my little Boze speaker, one day, as I drove up to a laundromat to wash some oversized blankets.

The First Time Ever

February 10, 2018

I was thinking about the The First Time Ever I heard Lizz Wright sing Roberta Flack’s song called, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face“.

I think it was during The First Time Ever I went to Boston, Massachusetts, to see and hear Lizz sing.

As I listened to her in Boston, it reminded me of The First Time Ever I heard Lizz sing.

I was in Seattle and she was singing, “Reaching For The Moon”, on KIXI radio. I was just blown away by her voice.

So, now it’s three years later, and as I think back on that moment, I realized that was……………………….

…..The First Time Ever I Didn’t Saw Her Face!

(Get it? It was radio….!)

I’m sorry..😉

I really just said all that, to say this:

No matter how many times I see and hear Lizz, it always seems like The First Time Ever!!

How Do You Spell Eclectic?

February 10, 2018

I spell it E-C-L-E-C-T-I-C.

Eclectic is “deriving ideas, style or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.”

I like that concept. I like having choices, diversity and variety. We’ve all heard that “variety is the spice of life”. That’s one of those maxims we use frequently but take for granted but it is so true.

Life is more fascinating when it changes repeatedly and you have many diverse incidents.

LiZ2: That Certain Something

November 14, 2017

I’ve been listening to Lizz (LiZ2) Wright’s new CD, “GRACE”, non-stop, since it was released.

I just love it. 💖

It’s been slightly over three years since I first became aware of her and her music. I’ve been following her ever since.

She tours overseas and in the U.S., all year long, sprinkling her musical 🎶 magic  in the hearts of everyone, in every town, she flutters by.

If I could, somehow, be everywhere that she sings, and listen to her every time, I would. She means a lot to me and I never tire of seeing and hearing her sing.

A LITTLE LOST

October 30, 2017

In a previous post, called “Shhhh! Genius At Work! (unearthing her GRACE)”, I wrote about my recent trip to the East Coast to see and hear Lizz Wright sing in Massachusetts. She was kicking off a tour to promote the release of her new CD called, “GRACE”.

( By the way, if you haven’t heard it yet, you’re missing out on a really good thing. You can find it on Amazon or iTunes.)

Anyway, in that post, I mentioned that while I was driving to the Rockport, Massachusetts venue, listening to “GRACE”, I was enjoying Lizz’s new music so much I missed my turn to Rockport and I suddenly saw a sign that said “Welcome To New Hampshire”.

So after I corrected my course and was heading toward Massachusetts again, I had to laugh and I thought to myself, “I get a little lost in her (Lizz), sometimes.”

I get in a kind of dreamy state of mind when I listen to her music. She is and will always be my favorite singer.

Then I thought that sounded like a good title for a song.

I get a little lost in you“, or “I get a little lost“, or something similar to that.

So, I have been thinking about that ever since then, and just two days ago I wrote the song.

But I decided to call it, simply, A Little Lost“. (The song is at the bottom of this post.)
