How many of you out there have ever been rejected by someone you really cared about?
I think that everyone has either rejected someone or has been rejected at some point in their lives. Perhaps, multiple times. Don’t you agree?
Scanners like to learn, discover and create. (At least, this scanner does.)
One day I decided I’d like to make my own CD, to include a front and back cover, the words, and the song. I had just written a song and that inspired me to make my own jacket for it.
All the other times I wrote a song, I would just put it on paper, enjoy it for a few days and then tuck it away in my song folder. But not this time.
I carried out my last assignment in the Air Force from 1991-1994, before retiring. I taught Korean at the Defensive Language Institute (DLI) in Monterey, California. It was at that time I designed and built the entertainment center.
Prior to that, I was working in Seoul, Korea, as a Korean translator (1987-1991) at the ROK/US Combined Forces Command HQ.
One night I decided to do a time line of the major events, accomplishments, and special experiences (the good and the bad) of my life. I wanted to review the pivotal moments of my life to see the overall summary it presented.
As a scanner, I want to learn things. I’m open-minded and I like to explore different cultures and different points of view. I want to see how the other guy sees it. I didn’t even think about it at the time, but I had all those traits within me, working for me, during my tours to South Korea, when I was in the Air Force.
